Equipped with distance sensors and an inertial measurement unit, Mirumi can detect movement and turn its head toward people, simulating observation. Its design, featuring big eyes and a furry texture, is meant to evoke curiosity and affection.
When someone gets too close or touches it, Mirumi responds by moving its head away to simulate shyness, shaking its head as if saying no. If left unattended, it resumes scanning its surroundings for new stimuli.
